Tamarah Hooper :: USFS & PSA coach

Specializes in all competitive, test track, adult/recreational skaters, moves in the field, power, choreography, hockey mechanics technique, off-ice, and presentation/theatre.

Tamarah hails from Western Canada, where she trained at an elite level under Olympic coaches at The Royal Glenora Club in Edmonton. She was a Novice Regional Champion, and completed her Gold (Senior) tests in Canada, as well as Jr. Pairs. After competing, Tamarah went on to skate professionally with Disney On Ice where she became a Principal Skater in a starring role; with special appearances on Ellen and Good Morning America. While on tour, she choreographed full cast “mini shows” as well as choreographed exercises for weekly rehearsal. After touring for 5 years, she began her coaching career and is now entering her 10th year. Her students have passed through their Senior tests, have competed at Regionals, State Games of America, and National Showcase. She has been a requested coach at elite seminars and camps, has been a Skating Director for 4 years, and has created elaborate annual productions for different Clubs in WI, SD, and LA. She has also been an Arena Manager. Her love of Hockey sought to the creation of “Condition Skate”, where she has trained Youth, Collegiate, and Professional Hockey players. Ask her about her training manual “Skate of Mind,” a book she co-authored to help skaters stay disciplined to achieving their goals.

Tamarah is currently accepting new students. CER A, USFS and PSA compliant.

Amy Nunn :: USFS & PSA coach

Specializes in all competitive, test track, and adult/recreational skaters, moves in the field, power, and choreography. 

Amy Nunn grew up skating at Burnsville (MN Valley) Figure Skating Club. She trained at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs for 10 years. Throughout her time in Colorado, she completed the Gold Moves in the Field and Freestyle tests, was a 6-time Sectional qualifier, two-time International Competitor (France and China), as well as the 2008 National Collegiate Silver Medalist. Amy worked with many International, World, and Olympic coaches and choreographers, who helped her skating and coaching grow to heights she never imagined. She has also tested ice dance through Pre-Silver with Olympic Silver Medalist Ben Agosto during 2012-2014. In 2012, Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Exercise Science and is certified as an Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports and Medicine. Amy firmly believes in off ice training to prevent injuries. Her coaching career began in 2004 at the Learn to Skate level. She started assisting and teaching private students in 2008. Skating is Amy’s passion and it is a blessing to share it with her students.

Erin Swanson :: USFS & PSA coach

Specializes in all competitive, test track, and recreational skaters, moves in the field, choreography, and power skating.

Erin lives in Chanhassen and began skating at the age of 8. She has passed her Gold Moves in the Field, Gold Free Skate, and Silver Solo Dance tests. Erin continued skating for several years as an adult, and is a three-time Minnesota State Adult Masters Champion. Erin began coaching in 2001 and is a PSA accredited coach and USFS registered coach. She also has PSA Hockey I & II and Power Skating certifications and has passed her Level III CFA Exam . Erin graduated from Bethel College with a degree in mathematics and is a fixed income analyst at BPS Capital Management in Bloomington.

Kelly Weber :: USFS & PSA coach

Specializes in recreational, beginner to intermediate ability, and choreography.

Kelly comes from New Ulm where she began skating at the age of 5. She skated to USFS Junior MIF, USFS Novice FS levels and ISI Freestyle 8. She started coaching skaters of all levels with New Ulm FSC after high school in 1998 and also choreographed, directed ice shows and was the head coach for their Synchronized skating team “Ice Fraulien”. This will be the eighth year that Kelly has worked with NPAFSC. She graduated from the Mankato Cosmetology Training Center and is a Team Lead and Designer at Cole’s Salon in Savage. She lives in Jordan with her husband Patrick and her two children, Alison, and AJ.
