Coach Courtney comes to us from Duluth Figure Skating Club where she spent from 2000-2006 as a competitive skater. She has cross-trained in Pilates, ballet & theater arts. She has earned her Senior Gold Freestyle & Gold Moves in the Field honors. Courtney is a PSA (Professional Skaters Association) coach, and has her Jump and Spin Theory Certifications. She has been mentoring under Coach Lorie Charbonneau of the Bloomington FSC & is currently attending the U of M where she is majoring in kinesiology. This will be Courtney’s third year as a coach for NPAFSC and she will be overseeing the junior coach mentoring program at NPAFSC.

Erin Swanson :: USFS & PSA coach
Specializes in all competitive, test track, and recreational skaters, field moves, choreography, and power skating.
Erin comes to us from her hometown of Chaska, MN where she began skating at the age of 8. Erin has passed her Senior Gold Moves in the Field, Senior Gold Freestyle, and Silver solo dance tests. She continues to skate and currently competes at the Adult Masters level. Erin began coaching in 2001 and is a PSA accredited coach, and also has PSA Hockey 1 & 2 and Power Skating certifications. In the past, she has also taught off-ice skating/conditioning classes as well as being assistant coach for the Chaska synchronized skating teams. Erin graduated from Bethel College with a degree in mathematics and currently lives in Chaska.

Kelly Weber :: USFS & PSA coach
Specializes in Recreational, Beginner to Intermediate Ability, and choreography.
Kelly comes from New Ulm where she began skating at the age of 5. She skated to USFS Junior MIF, USFS Novice FS levels and ISI Freestyle 8. She started coaching skaters of all levels with New Ulm FSC after high school in 1998 and also choreographed, directed ice shows and was the head coach for their Synchronized skating team “Ice Fraulien”. This will be the fifth year that Kelly has worked with NPAFSC. She graduated from the Mankato Cosmetology Training Center and is a Team Lead and Designer at Cole’s Salon in Savage. She lives in Jordan with her husband Patrick and her two children, Alison, and AJ.

Cale Ambroz :: PSA intern coach
Specializes in Basic through Intermediate levels.
Cale began his figure skating career when he was 8 years old with the New Prague Area Figure Skating Club. He now skates with the Figure Skating Club of Bloomington as a National Competitor. He has passed his Senior Gold Moves in the Field & Junior Freestyle Tests. “I qualified for the U.S. National Championships last season and I am currently training at the Bloomington Ice Garden in hopes of qualifying again this season.” Cale is a PSA Intern Member who is sponsored and mentored by International Coach Lorie Charbonneau. He has taught Basic Skills classes for 2 years and this will be his second year teaching at the NPAFSC.

Erin Grabosky :: USFS Basic Skills coach
Specializes in the basic skills levels.
Erin is returning back to New Prague Area Figure Skating Club after graduating this last year. After being involved in the club for six years, and coaching for five of those years, she has decided to take her coaching and focus on the Basic Skills levels. Erin has passed her Preliminary Freestyle and Preliminary Moves in the Field, and has been awarded the Bronze Level Achievement from USFSA through their Graduating Seniors Program. She is still continuing her skating throughout college. Erin is attending the U of M where she is working towards a degree in Sociology of Criminology, Law, and Deviance, as well as a hard science.
